The original NOD recorded on 3/10/09 for $19,050.
The original NTS recorded on 8/18/09 with an auction date set for 9/04/09. The auction got postponed many, many times; not unusual yet, until an auction date was set for 3/02/10. The auction is postponed one more time until 3/05/10. And here is where things get hinckey.
According to Foreclosure Radar, 98 Via Candelaria goes to auction on 3/05/10 with an opening bid of $486,000, which is $48,446 less than the published bid, or amount owed on the 1st. The 2nd is for $75,000 from a private party, but let us put that in the backround for now, ok?
The auction for 98 Via Candelaria gets a bid, for $486,100, $100 more than the opening bid and that becomes the winning bid.
But, … a new NTS is filed, … from the same lender, for the same loan, with a new published bid amount of $554,961 and an auction date scheduled for 6/04/10. Is that wierd? Or what?
The auction is postponed until 6/24/10 and that is where we stand now. At the time of this writing there was no opening bid posted.
BTW, 98 Via Candelaria was the featured property of our post, “MERS“.
