1 Laurelgate -  A few weeks ago, Foreclosure Radar showed 1 Laurelgate as going to auction with the winning bidder being the filer of the notice of trustee sale.  But, some weeks after the supposed sale, Priority posting was showing a scheduled auction date of 12/04/09 for the same notice of trustee sale.  By now, it appears the report of a completed trustee sale was in error.  The trustee sale has been postponed until 1/14/10.

Interesting side note… 6 Panoramas owner appears to have been an attorney for Colin Nathanson and or his company. Doing some research i saw his name pop up as having to forfeit some fees as a result of that whole mess.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with it… Mr nathanson plead guilty a few years back to mail fraud for taking investments in two Internet companies which didn’t exist. He owned three homes on coto including one in weatherly

I know the guy is an attorney, as I know his ex-partner, and a smart person. Some many people are gaming the system right now. Check out 18 Tortoise Shell – that one has been on and off NTS for almost 2 years – has a renter in there – its like 9 Connor in Ladera Ranch- pretend to negotiate work out the loan (when you have no chance in hell of even making 1/2 of the original payment) – move out – strip it, stick in a renter and take the rent while not paying the mortgagte. Buy an Cadillac SUV (Escalade) and Lexus (not examples -real thing), and move on. Some of the realtors are advising on this (I know this for a fact) rent strip strategy.
Like everything else – no one feels any obligation to pay.

Yup… all this talk of reform, I know its not politically correct but it seems like a few very simple laws should be made to stop the abuse of the system. Unfortunately its not politically correct to blame the homeowner. They are a victim of the evil banks.

Get rid of the Federal Reserve, fiat currency, and the fractional reserve banking system, and you will not need legislation to correct anything. A free interest rate market where the people decide what is and isn’t money will negate the need for more legislation. What most folks do not understand is that legislation got us in this mess. And the answer is not more legislation. More legislation is more government control. How do you like it so far?
